It’s only 15 minutes from downtown Austin, 10 minutes from the Hill Country Galleria, 10 minutes from Barton Creek Square Mall and 20 minutes from the Arboretum.   The Austin Bergstrom International Airport is about 25 minutes away.

Homes in Camelot were built in the 1960’s and 1970’s with a few newer builds.  Several of the homes have been updated or remodeled for modern day accommodations.  Homes range from 1,500 to 5,500 square feet in size.  Most lots in Camelot are about half an acre with some lots going over 1 acre or 2 in size.  Some of the homes in Camelot have views of the hill country while others have spectacular greenbelt views.

The closest grocery store to the Camelot neighborhood is the HEB located in theVillages at Westlake shopping center only minutes away.  There’s also a Randall’s located at the Westbank Market off Bee Cave Road (FM 2244) and Walsh Tarlton.  It’s a little further than the HEB and about a 10 minute drive from Camelot homes.

Camelot Area Restaurants

There are a number of restaurants in the Westlake area close Camelot homes.  A few favorite spots include The Grove, Maudie’s off 360, Texas Honey Ham, Hat Creek, Lupe Tortilla, Izumi Sushi, P. Terry’s, La Madeleine, Hai Ky, County Line BBQ and Rudy’s BBQ.

Camelot Area Shopping

Shopping areas close to Camelot homes include the Barton Creek Square Mall where there are plenty of shops, Villages at Westlake where the HEB is located and the Hill Country Galleria.
Barton Creek Square Mall is located off South Capital of Texas Highway (Loop 360) and Mopac Expressway (Loop 1). It’s a 2 level shopping mall with plenty of options for shopping.  Anchor stores include Macy’s, Nordstrom, Dillard’s, Sears, and J.C. Hill Country Galleria is located at the intersection of Bee Cave Road (FM 2244) and Highway 71.  It’s an outdoor shopping mall that includes several restaurants such as All Star Burger, Buenos Aires Café, Café Blue, Iron Cactus Mexican Grill, Mimi’s Café and Zingers Bar & Grill. It also has several shops including American Eagle Outfitters, Dicks Sporting Goods, Dillard’s, Eddie Bauer, Banana Republic, Barnes & Noble and Vans.  Cinemark Hill Country Galleria also resides here.

Villages at Westlake is located off Capital of Texas Highway (Loop 360) and Bee Cave Road (FM 2244).  It’s an outdoor shopping center that includes an HEB grocery store, several restaurants including La Madeleine, Lupe Tortilla, P. Camelot Parks & Greenbelts

There are 2 parks located very close to Camelot in the adjacent neighborhood of Lost Creek including Boulder Park and the Lost Creek neighborhood Park.  The Camelot neighborhood is also close to the popular Barton Creek Greenbelt.  See below for a description and link to each.
Barton Creek Greenbelt is spread over 809 acres and offers runners, mountain bikers and hikers over 7.9 miles of trails.  Rock climbers are also drawn to the limestone cliffs.   During the summer, the Greenbelt provides Austinites with a refreshing swimming hole. Boulder Park in Lost Creek is located just south of Bee Cave Road (FM 2244) and west of Capital of Texas Highway (Loop 360). It’s a small, hidden park in the Lost Creek neighborhood and provides the perfect place for a walk or picnic.
Lost Creek Park is located just west of Capital of Texas Highway (Loop 360) in Lost Creek on Lost Creek Boulevard.  It has a playground for children, grills and picnic tables.

Camelot Area Country Clubs

There are 2 main country clubs close to Camelot including the Lost Creek Country Club located in the Lost Creek neighborhood and the Barton Creek Country Club.

Barton Creek Country Club is located off Barton Creek Boulevard just south of Bee Cave Road (FM 2244) and west of Capital of Texas Highway (Loop 360).
